The meaningful word is the smallest pragmatic unit in language but the endpoint goal in pronunciation. It is a linking element between the two domains. The verbal word is the motor speech representation of the meaningful lingual entity. As such, the written word is the graphomotor representation of the meaningful lingual entity. Verbal words are mostly used for verbal communication with the outside world. These days, with the huge advancements in technology, we use more and more the typed communication version through computers and smart phones. However, verbal communication is still the most important tool for participation, learning and communication.
